Howzit

As much as I hate to say it, we’re on holiday. And when I say hate, I mean love. And when I say we, I mean everyone in the band. I’ve only been free for a few weeks and already I’ve been Jesus, had my annual shave and been to Jozi (cuzzie). It’s been pretty intense. And there is even more stuff happening in the rest of the holiday. I don’t know how I’m going to manage the excitement. Probably yoga or something.

The best news I have to give you today is that we have some gigs (!!!) lined up for the near future. We’ll be performing at Zula Bar on the 18th of December, at Casa Nostra on the 21st of December and at Ragazzi on the 8th of January. We’re really rather excited. And we’ll be bringing you new music to boot. What more could you ask for? Keep your eyes and potatoes peeled for news and cooking purposes respectively.

As the month draws to an end, the Movember battle rages on silently atop our upper lips. I don’t actually think it was ever a battle, but as a semi-professional facial-hairest I take Movember as a serious competition. I started a week late this year because I needed my beard on the 7th (it’s all very complicated) and so I’ve been playing catch up. I’d currently rate my moustache in the “rooibos stain” level. Definitely room for improvement. I hope all of yours are doing well. Unless you happen to be female.

In other news, Jason and I jetted off (flew as passengers on a standard domestic flight) to Jozie (Johannesburg) last week (last week). We have returned with golden tans, a love of eisbein, a fear of puddles and enough memories to fill a Pensieve. And when I say golden tans, I mean I don’t have one. I’ll tell you more about our trip when I see you at one of our many upcoming shows. Awww yeeeeah.
